Happy Boxing Day and a belated Merry Christmas!

The holiday season--Thanksgiving to Christmas--was a difficult one. In my own family and in those of friends and associates--I witnessed an increase in the passing of family members, heartache, surgeries, and troubles. Many have expressed a wish that "next year will be better". When I find myself sinking into "the blues" and wishing for an improvement, an examination will normally show me that I have drifted from God. I have stopped spending time in prayer and devotion...become caught up in life. In so doing, I have made myself, a situation, or another person more important than God. How fitting, then, is this week's review......

Live Second
Who is numero uno in your life? Is it you? Your spouse? Children? We are supposed to put God first...before ourselves...our friends...our families. How easy and realistic would it be to live second 365 days a year?

I was also blessed with the opportunity to review Isabel Ander's upcoming book, Miss Marple: Christian Sleuth. The review, which should have posted earlier in December, is finally up. I encourage you to pre-order your copy from Amazon.com.
