Buongiorno a tutti and Happy New Year! Buon Anno!

Here are my recipes for an Italian New Years Eve dinner:

Risotto with Mushrooms Recipe

How to make a good Risotto with Mushrooms and did you know that risotto is one of the "good luck" dishes included in the Italian New Year's Eve dinner menu as primo piatto, the first course? With the round shape of its grains, rice in fact represents money and coins in many cultures, and it is a symbol of abundance in general also in Italy.

Here is the recipe: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art30439.asp

Zampone with Lentils Recipe for New Year's Eve

Served with lentils, zampone or cotechino is what most Italians eat for dinner at New Year’s Eve. Zampone is a stuffed pig’s foot which has been deboned and filled with ground pork meat and rind mixed with spices, while cotechino is a large size sausage filled with the same type of mixture.
