Happy New Year one and all – it’s the start of a whole new year and I’m busting to get on with it. We didn’t actually see in the New Year last night – but we heard the suburb celebrate at midnight with the usual pots and pans and merriment.

I do hope everyone who celebrates Christmas enjoyed their festivities and that for everyone the holidays were a chance to catch up and get things done. I managed to make two queens sized quilt tops for my friend Diane over the holiday. I’m very pleased with the result – she’s quilting them at present and I’ll have them back sometime soon to bind. They will be thankyou presents for some friends of hers. When I get them back I’ll take some photos for you.

I’ve made a few resolutions for 2014, but I’m keeping them close to my chest – I usually fail on the resolution front by about the 10th of January, so I’ll let you know how I go.

I wrote an article for my quilting readers about making New Year resolutions and I hope it is of some help to those who are finding themselves in a crafting “rut”. Here’s the link to the article:

Thank you to the quilters who popped on the forum and gave us their Christmas wishes. I have added a new post to the forum today, with my New Year wishes to you all. Please feel free to add your message for quilters everywhere. Here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/849433#Post849433
