Welcome to the new NASCAR newsletter! We recently had a pole on the NASCAR website for names for the newsletter and the name, THE FAST LANE was chosen.

Each week you will receive The Fast Lane newsletter on Tuesdays. The new content for each week will include a weekly trivia question that you can find the answer to in the NASCAR forum. It will include a section of NASCAR news tidbits from the preceding week. Some issues may contain contests or games! Please enjoy the new content and check my new article on "The Great American Race".

The Great American Race
Some things in NASCAR will probably never change. The Daytona 500 is one of them.

NASCAR Trivia question of the week... you will find the answer in the forum post under the name Weekly Trivia.

Rusty Wallace, Ernie Irvan, Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin, and Bill Elliot all appeared in a country music video in 1997. What popular singer was the star of the video?

NASCAR NEWS

Congratulations to Matt Kenseth winner of 51st running of the Daytona 500. Due to a rain shortened race Matt Kenseth has won the Great American Race and the long overdue dream of his team has come true.

Controversy is still surrounding the #44 car from Richard Petty Motorsports. Kyle Petty is rumored to be very upset that RPM used the retro paint scheme that featured Kyle Petty's first win, without his permission after he was not included in the four-driver set for the new team.

Stewart-Haas Racing had a shakey week at Daytona, but still had a very good showing for their first races. Ryan Newman blew a tire in final practice for the Daytona 500 which caused both he and Tony Stewart to wreck. Both drivers had to use a back up car for the 500 and start at the back of the pack. Tony Stewart finished 7th, a great showing for his first race an owner/driver.

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
