Is it still cold where you live? Want something hot and tasty to drink while you cuddle up with your blanket and a favorite book or while browsing BellaOnline? Here is a great recipe for hot chocolate:

Mayan Hot Chocolate -- makes about 4 cups

2 ounces (squares) bitter, unsugared bakers' chocolate
1 cup hot water
3 tablespoons honey
dash salt
3 cups hot milk
4 sticks cinnamon bark

Chop chocolate and heat it in the water until melted. Add the honey and salt then beat while adding the warmed milk. Froth it up with a little muscle power and that favorite whip of yours. Serve the hot, hot chocolate in BIG mugs and top with a little whipping cream if you've a mind to. What a way to end the day or just to cozy up on a cold afternoon. Well, it's also good with breakfast! How about with flapjacks? Sounds good to me.

Blue Corn Flapjacks

Two eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup blue roasted cornmeal
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients in a blender. Let stand for 5 minutes. Now if you stir this again you will lose the fluffiness, so leave it alone for a bit. Pour each flapjack amount from blender onto a lightly oiled grill. When bubbles form on top then flip over (the flapjack - no dance moves here). Cook till done. Serve with plenty of butter, maybe a sprinkle of powdered sugar, or top with some fruit. Now enjoy yourself and you'll feel so good when you raise that big cup of chocolaty hot chocolate up to your waiting lips! Oh! yeah, you might want to share this fantastic breakfast with someone you love.

Have a great week! Till next time, these moccasins are going to be busy looking for more recipes.
