Hi everyone,
This week I was looking for some inspiration to get settled into the my studies, when I thought about the motivation explorers and travellers need to keep them on their journeys. The world has known some very brave men and women who have travelled into hostile territories, lands unfamiliar and been very far from home. I stumbled across Ibn Battuta, the Moroccan explorer and probably the greatest of all time.
So here is your latest article from the African Culture site at BellaOnline.com.
Ibn Battuta - The Great Explorer
The world has celebrated many great explorers – David Livingstone, Marco Polo, Mungo Park, Richard F. Burton, but little is known of one of the greatest. Ibn Battuta of Morocco travelled over 75,000 miles in almost thirty years. He went to North Africa, the Middle East, Central and South Asia.
