Welcome to the Sitcoms newsletter. February 20-26th
This week, check out my article on Outsourced, a program I gave a second chance to, and you may want too as well.
News this week: As many of you know, Charlie Sheen has been on one wild ride. The powers that be at CBS and Warner Brothers have finally pulled the plug on the rest of this season’s Two and a Half Men after Sheen’s most recent outburst on a national radio show. CBS has ordered more episodes of Mike and Molly and Rules of engagement to fill the empty time slot.
The highlight of the week: For anyone who loves political humor Community held elections this Thursday and the debates with the news anchors’ commentary is a must see. Pop! Pop!
Seek this out: Airing now on PBS, The Pioneers of Television. This is a must see for anyone who loves television and the history behind your favorite programs. They just aired the episode on sitcoms. Check it out on PBS.com.
Next week: Can a sitcom or hour long drams survive the exit of a major character/star? In light of the Two and a half Men difficulties, I will take a look back at shows that continued to thrive even after a lead character exited.
I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!
Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
