Greetings and Salutations -

One way to build publicity for any of your projects is to schedule talks at your local library. I realize it can seem scary. I am very shy and doing this is quite nerve-wracking. Simply start with a tiny library. Hardly anybody will show up :). Get a friend or two to keep you company. Talk about your chosen subject. Once you do a few of those you'll get more comfortable with.

Not only do you build those immediate fans of the people who come, but the library patrons will see the notices and visit your website. Local newspapers often promote these talks which means their website and paper will promote your name and URL. Even if only a few people actually attend, it can mean a long term boost for your traffic and sales.

I'm giving a talk tonight at 7pm at my local library. I expect only 2 or 3 people to come, but even so it ends up both building my practice at it and boosting my traffic because of all that linkage going on.
