News this week: This week had a lot of reruns but, thankfully NBC aired a night with mostly new programming.

Looks like Christina Applegate may be heading back to television, in a comedy for NBC.

The highlight of the week: Unexpected guest stars James Taylor’s appearance on Mr. Sunshine as the ex-husband of Crystal Cohen. Also Susan Sarandon stopped by on 30 Rock as the ex- con teacher of Frank, think Mary Kay Letourneau.

Renewed or Cancelled (Bubble) watch: Congratulations to three NBC sitcoms that have been renewed for next season, Community, Parks and Recreation, and the Office.

Next week: Did you get a chance to see the PBS documentary on the Pioneers of Television. I will take a look at the sitcom installment of the series.
