A reminder that the IPPY deadline is approaching – it’s March 15, which is next Friday. I definitely recommend considering applying. It’s a great way to get recognition for your books. They have a wide range of category areas, from fiction to non-fiction, from physical to ebook.

That can then get you local newspaper interviews and so on.

The award ceremony in New York City is pretty cool, too :).

I'm submitting three of my books:
* Worcester Nights (all four novellas as one set) in the romance category
* Birch Blackguards (my second novel in my Sutton Mass Mystery series) in the regional-east category
* Sworn Loyalty (medieval romance) in the young adult category

If any of you are submitting, let me know, and we can all read each others' first chapters. Having that first chapter perfect is absolutely critical in being evaluated for these awards. Many times the judges read the first chapter and toss or keep going at that point. They don't read all books all the way through. So the more that first chapter can be absolutely perfect, the better its chances of winning.

Also, this coming weekend we should finish accepting the apps for the health channel. These health-channel topics are still without applications:
