We were discussing in school about what we need to get the kids to do for mothers day, and that got me thinking of woman's day. And I found out an interesting, and, to be frank, an unknown fact (at least unknown to me) : India has its own National Woman's Day - February 13. It is the birthday of none other than Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India. So this week's article is about this highly accomplished woman.

Sarojini Naidu - the Nightingale of India was not just a poet but also a fiery politician. Her contributions to both Indian politics and well as Indian literature are quite formidable.
