Hi everyone,
For those of your outside of Canada, you may have not heard that our government has found plastics that contain Bisphenol A (BPA) to be toxic and are planning on announcing a ban on BPA in the next 60 days. Unfortunately many plastic baby bottles, teethers, toys, and household products do contain BPA.
Retailers are pulling plastic baby bottles from shelves up here, and there are indications that recalls will be coming.
So, in response to the news, the concerns that parents are sharing, and the confusion that is resulting, I have decided to re-release the article I did last fall on BPA. I have since updated it and included some great resources for parents trying to figure out what to do. The most useful resource I have found is the safe plastic chart found here:

Please forward this information to anyone you think might find it useful.
Baby Bottle Safety
Baby bottles, plastic teethers, plastic toys, dental fillings, water bottles all contain a chemical called bisphenol A (BPA). BPA has been making headlines around the world the past few years. Is it a hazard, what are the risks, and what alternatives do you have to the products that contain BPA?
