The change of the seasons has finally begun where I live in Central Alaska. The snow is rapidly melting, and I can finally see that summer really is right around the corner. It's a late "Breakup" here, the time when the snow melts and Spring quickly turns to Summer. Since I work in education, it is one more reminder that I only have a few short weeks left until I have my summer off.

That also means that many children throughout North America are about to go on summer vacation. there will be plenty of time spent outdoors and in camps. Of course, the weather or travailing means that children aren't always able to get outside and run around. Another possibility for their free time? Learning to Knit, of course! and who better to teach a child to knit then the people who care for them and about them - you!
