It's been a while since I've written about the problems that folks with ADD/ADHD have getting to sleep and staying asleep. This research will not surprise you, but it is interesting to see how they quantified the necessary hours of sleep that teens need.
Sleep Helps Teen ADHD Executive Function
A recent study conducted at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center said "More sleep may help teens with ADHD focus and organize." Typically developing teens had been studied to see how sleep affected their executive functioning; teens with ADHD hadn't been research subjects on this topic.
