Twice a year, in the spring and in late fall/early winter, throughout much of Mexico, a popular, delicious, healthy, and nutritious snack is available, fresh garbanzo beans. While most of the people in my town of Churintzio, Michoacan consume them raw, they are also eaten steamed or dry roasted.
