Greetings and Salutations!
I'm a bit behind on email, so if you're waiting on a response from me, I'll get to you soon! I'm definitely not ignoring you :) I'm in "finals week" for 2 of my classes so it's just a bit insane right now.
I did still want to jump in with a few quick, helpful notes for you.
FACEBOOK CACHE
When you promote a link on Facebook, Facebook always goes to their cache first for quick screen draw. But if you've changed your article, that cache can point to an old version. I've added the direct link to their Facebook cache reset page on our Article Marketing page. So that way when you add or edit an article, it'll have the link right there to help you reset the Facebook cache if you need to. That should streamline your promotions even further.
CHAT LOGS
If you need help brainstorming ideas for your site, income earning ideas, traffic building ideas, and time management ideas, be sure to read through our chat logs. You start by clicking the link to our Editor Assistance area on your main admin menu, then go into the chat subject area from there. All our logs are in there, in date order. You'll find amazing ideas and suggestions!
QUICK MONEY EARNING / SAVING IDEAS
Many editors I've talked to recently have been balancing their budgets to the penny to try to pay bills. Money is fairly tight for me too - I was hit hard by taxes and my college bills coming due on top of each other. Luckily I have a Bob to lend me money but many editors do not have a Bob of their own :). So I started some forum threads on the things I'm doing to save / bring in money, to provide some ideas. Of course we'd love to hear your ideas too. Together we can help each other get through this recession!
Here's just a few of the threads I've begun -
* use rewards cards. I just got $1200 in checks and gift cards, all completely free, sent to me just for paying my normal household bills.
* negotiate with your utilities. If you threaten to quit, often they'll give you a better rate. I (well Bob) cut off $30 from our cable bill with a 15 minute IM chat.
* Ride your phone on your internet. You can get your phone bill down to $3/mo.
* Sell your books/CDs/DVDs on Amazon/Ebay. They pay quickly, and you clear your house of clutter at the same time.
Here are the threads I set up -

If you have specific high bills you are challenged with, let us know what they are and we'll brainstorm with you! For example my Massachusetts-mandated health care bill was $680/mo for me and Bob. This was just HUGE and we don't take any medication at all either. That is just "insurance" in case we get sick. I think I can negotiate that down to $340 since he's been laid off for years. Talk about a huge savings! So look closely at every single item in your budget. There's usually an opportunity to save on each one.
Post in the forum with your situation, and we'll find solutions!
Sincerely,
Lisa Shea, owner
