Just discovered how many times dates appear in all those articles on Bahai.BellaOnline today as I was updating them to match the new Bahá'í calendar updates! Fortunately for those of us struggling to unmemorize years of important dates which now float around a bit in the Gregorian calendar, there are available charts carefully calculated for the next 50 years (!) using an assortment of astronomical engineering sources. All of this change has resulted because the solar calendar envisaged by the Founders of the Bahá'í Faith had been temporarily tied to the Gregorian calendar in the West and a lunar calendar in the Mid-East. Thus, holy days were celebrated at different times around the world. Now we are all on the same page, resulting in a cascade of commemoration around the globe for each important date. How cool is that?!
Here's the latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com.
Updated Bahá'í Calendar Unifies East and West
