May 21 2011 Tatting Newsletter

Hello Tatters,
Carol Green of Newborns in Need and Relief Share is sponsoring a
charity auction. Times have been hard for every one and even this much
needed charitable organization has felt the pinch. Right now they are
all out of batting for the quilt projects. The funds go 100% to Relief
Share (http://www.ReliefShare.org)

This first listing starts at $99. And sure that seems like a lot but
wow, just read the list of all the items included! Vintage threads,
shuttles, back issues of Handy Hands Newsletter (with all the oldie
books included in serial form), 2 needle tatting books,2 Jiffy Needle
tatting books and the vintage tatting book by Lady Duff-Gordon
(survivor of the Titanic sinking.)

This would be a great batch for a guild to purchase for their local library.

And you may also make direct donations with paypal! http://www.ReliefShare.org

Carol writes: "I do a lot of tatting on the smocked burial layettes
for the hospitals and also make ornaments and bookmarks for the
elderly and shut ins. Tatting is a wonderful way to say "I love you"."

To donate tatting for burial layettes and other projects email order@grandmothersattic.net and for more info you may contact Carol Green on Facebook, also.
