Greetings and Salutations!

Susan, our Ebooks manager, is taking a well deserved vacation through June 20th to spend time with her husband. If anyone has questions on ebooks or the ebook course, let me know and I'm very happy to help out!

This week has been a bit hectic for me. I was out in Colorado from Sun-Wed visiting with my brother, sister, and father. Then Thursday I left for Nantucket - where I am now - covering the wine festival here. I'll be back home again tomorrow (Sun) and I'll catch up on any pending email messages!

It's also my finals week for school, and we're in the finalization stage for our Mused literary magazine too. So it's been a fun juggling of time!

World Ending?

You've probably seen in the news that some people feel the world will end today. Those editors hanging out in the forums yesterday saw that one of our members was passionate enough to hand enter news of it over 400 times. While most of us won't be very surprised when the sun dawns with its usual splendor on Sunday morning, I think this is a good time to realize that, while the world isn't ending, every day is precious. We have one pass through this life, each day is a gift, and we choose how to spend our times and direct our energies.

What if we lived each day as if it was the one day that really mattered? Not in the sense that we spend our last savings on a sports car, but in the sense that we reach out to those we're arguing with, we give warm hugs to those we care for, and we spend our time on what is most important to us. Too often we can put off those sorts of activities for "someday" - when the day that really matters is today.

So I wanted to express to all editors how blessed I feel that I am part of our community, that we have achieved such great milestones with our charity giving, our green efforts, and our training and education of so many writers. It makes me happy to wake up every day, and I hope we are doing everything we can to help you reach your goals in life.
