Hi everyone,
Just ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, it’s time to catch up with what’s been happening in Formula 1 and on the BellaOnline information site.
In the news:
• Unfortunately, Super Aguri had to withdraw from participating in the F1 World Championship. They were refused entry to Turkey and after rush talks with Honda and potential investors, it was concluded that the money just wasn’t available. Fingers crossed that Anthony Davidson, Takuma Sato, and the rest of the team, find roles elsewhere within the sport.
• McLaren have had a lot of problems with wheels recently, after Heikki’s crash in Barcelona, and Hamilton’s struggles in Turkey. It turns out that Lewis driving style put too much pressure on the tyres over a longer stint and so he had to switch to a three-stop strategy. Whilst it made for interesting racing, Lewis wasn’t best pleased and placed the blame with Bridgestone. They, in turn, pointed out that no one else was having a problem.
• Nelson Piquet is apparently under surveillance over the next few weeks, as it hasn’t gone unnoticed that his performance isn’t up to scratch. He is still a rookie, obviously, but with a mixture of mistakes and bad luck, the results just haven’t been forthcoming for Piquet, and the team are watching.

This time round: How do you feel about Monaco? Is it your favourite track or a boring procession from start to finish? Does the glitz and glamour appeal or is it simply the racing that matters? I’m somewhere in between. It used to be my favourite track but now I’m learning more and more about the intricacies of the sport, I’m less enthusiastic about the processional races we see there. Look out for the brand new Monaco article released today!
