Breastfeeding Subscribers,

My apologies for being absent from the site with new articles for a couple weeks. After 5 cumulative years of breastfeeding my two daughters, my second daughter and I have agreed to wean. It's been emotionally more difficult than I was expecting, since I've been feeling ready for quite a while now, and it's been hard to address any topic while I've been going through this transition.

It's still a bit close to the surface, but I put pen to paper (figuratively, that is) and got together some thoughts I wanted to share on the end of an extended breastfeeding relationship. I wept through writing most of it, but ulimately I thank you as readers for giving me a place to help express what I am feeling. I'd love to hear your comments and thoughts or your experiences if you've already been in this place.

Saying Goodbye to Breastfeeding
After 5 collective years of breastfeeding my daughters, I'll soon be nursing for the last time. Some musings and thoughts on this emotionally difficult step of saying goodbye to breastfeeding.
