Here's the latest article from the Reading site at BellaOnline.com.

Greetings from the Land of OZ!

I read this book after I learned about it from the author. She was a speaker at a meeting I attended and really gave a fantastic overview of what it is like to live as an autistic person. Later, I also had Catlaina Vrana as a student. So, it is my pleasure to introduce the book, Ella Autie, to you. It has wonderful illustrations that go so well with the text. And what a text it is! There is a lovely story of a friendship that is coupled with a great deal of information about autism. Check it out!

Ella Autie Book Review
Ella Autie by Catlaina Vrana is an informational picture book about autism that is written and illustrated by a young autistic woman. With charming illustrations and forthright text, it tells the story of a 4th grade girl with autism. The book shows how understanding autism can lead to friendship.
