Hi all,
Some great new books have been coming my way lately, and one of my new articles this week is a review of one, while the other article adds to the Buddhism for Kids section of the site.
Awakening the Sacred Body - Book/DVD Review
This excellent book and DVD combo is one of the few detailing Bon Tibetan energy practices - breath and chakra (energy center) meditations - in an accessible and down to earth way that anyone can benefit from.

Introducing Children to the Noble Eightfold Path
The Noble Eightfold Path is a foundation Buddhist teaching consisting of the eight components of the Buddhist path. Here's some suggestions for introducing children to each of them - great for adults of any faith too.

I've also posted a link to the Dalai Lama's schedule during his current U.S tour in the forum, and would love for anyone who gets to attend an event to post a bit about their experience:

In closing, here's a favorite passage on karma from Awakening the Sacred Body:
"It is important to realize that there is karma. It is important to believe in the existence of karma until you fully realize it. If there is no sense of trust or willingness to understand the existence of karma, you are not going to release your karma, and you are more likely to continue acting in ways that perpetuate karma. Basically, acknowledging the existence of karma is acknowledging the possibility of transformation. Because at some point, transformation is not just about what skills or good ideas you have; there is something deeper than that."
In Peace,
