The concept behind The Weekend Novelist is very interesting - if you're working full time and only have the weekends free to write your novel, this is supposedly the plan to work from to produce a novel in 52 weekends. Unfortunately, The Weekend Novelist achieves something quite different.

In a strange co-incidence, author Jodi Picoult wrote a novel about a high school shooting incident. This novel, called Nineteen Minutes, was published on 6 March this year, just over a month before the Virginia events. Even though her book had nothing whatsoever to do with the Virginia shooting, how do you imagine she feels about life imitating art? Have your say on the forum!
