The black comedy Nighty Night, featuring the hairdresser from hell, is to be remade for the US Channel Showtime. Darren Star, creator of Sex and the City, will write and star.
Python veteran John Cleese has announced he will be quitting performing. He feels, as a writer and performer, he will never be able to top the classic Fawlty Towers. Instead, he will be writing a book on the history of comedy.
