Greetings to all on Summer Solstice!
I have just returned from Chaco Culture National Historic Park, here in New Mexico, where I attended the Summer Solstice Festivities. I saw a wonderful Zuni dance troupe perform traditional Native Dances, and prayed the Sun across the sky, wishing for peace for us all. It was a great day, and one I'll tell you more about in an upcoming article - I promise!
Last week's article was about Summer Solstice and World Peace and Prayer Day. This brought up the topic of Medicine Wheels, which I discuss in this week's article from the Native American site at BellaOnline.com.
Medicine Wheel
A Medicine Wheel is a symbol of the Universe and everything in it. It is a sacred stone circle, a place to meditate, hold ceremonies, pray, a Spiritual teaching tool, Sacred Space, the Wheel of Life, a marker of the Sun’s journey across the Earth, a focuser of energies, and a bridge between worlds.
