Greetings everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

Although we can still have some days when it can be difficult
to get motivated, especially if it rains or is blistering hot,
it can help remembering what it was like in January or February,
to get us going...it just takes one idea :)

Herb and Garden

If your herbs are starting to flower, remember there are
several benefits in pinching these little guys off.

Pinching the flowers will allow extended growth and flavor of
the herb plant. They then can be used whole in soups(tied with
cheese cloth), bathwater, soaps, candles and starting seedling plants
for next summer.

Recipes & Tips

A savory tip when cooking with tomatoes and garlic...

Chopping the garlic first followed by the tomatoes
on the same chopping board applies a wonderful
flavor that people notice, but find
difficult to place. Great on salads with a
sprinkle of lemon juice.
