Altering a garment so it fits just right, or is more in line with contemporary style can be challenging. Sometimes sewing new garments can even be easier to construct than de-construct and re-sew anew. However, a favorite pair of slacks is hard to ignore if just a simple sewing tweak is all that is needed to re-fashion a new sleeker silhouette.

Alter wide-leg slacks to straight or tapered-legs
If wide-leg slacks would fit and look better with a straight or tapered leg silhouette, just a few new seams and re-hemming will convert them.
