Greetings!

It is so difficult for me knowing the harsh reality that we are faced with here in America. The fact of the matter is, justice does not always prevail in our favor.

In the light of the verdict of the trial of Zimmerman, it grieves my heart to know that the life of a young black man was of no value to some. Yet, I look at the judicial system and recognize that he had a jury of his peers. Peers that felt and believed as he does.

We, as a people, must come together and fight for that which is right and just. We cannot allow hate to rule our actions, but instead love. Love for our children. Love for their lives and future. Do not allow hate to lead you, because it only leads to more destruction, and that is what the enemy wants. Let love be your guide. For it is only love that has the power to triumph over hate! Love endures.

We have long felt the disjointed arm of justice when it comes to people of color. We long since understood that we rarely, as black people, will get a fair and just trial in America. We have only to look at the prisons. We must protect our children, prepare them for the injustices that do occur.
