In this day and age, everything is game. Music, art, food, clothes, and just about anything can be fused, creating a different result. Belly dance is no exception.

THINKING OF MICHAEL JACKSON
I was so upset to learn of the recent death. The King of Pop left us without any warning. I always thought Michael was going to be around, he was going to come out with another album (yes, I'm an 80's child), and he was going to live forever.
Thriller was my first cassette that I had in my music collection. I was nine years old when I got the cassette for my birthday along with a little Emerson radio. We didn't have much and my father was always saving his every penny. But with my radio and my Thriller cassette, I knew I could fit in with any group of kids. Rich, poor, outsiders, it was Michael who brought us all together.
When Thriller would play, everyone just stopped. We all had to see that crazy, wild video with Michael dancing. I remember how he went from this scary looking guy, to the guy who walked with the girl telling her not to be scared. And that laugh at the end. Wow!
The funny thing is, the song was not really a Halloween song either, although now it seems to be. At the time, Thriller played on the radio for months. People always got excited to hear it. No matter what.
He was so beautiful. I remember liking a little boy in school, because I thought he looked like Michael Jackson. That Michael Jackson smile, that poster of him with the yellow sweater, and that little tiger cub who was in that picture with Michael. I'm going to remember that more than anything else.
Always the King of Pop, thrilling the world forever.
