Greetings and Salutations -

I'm back home from my sister's wedding in Arizona. The wedding was absolutely lovely! It was great to see my uncles and aunts. Somehow during the mail swap from my PC to laptop and back again the system doubled up a bunch of my messages. Meaning I came home with over 5,000 messages in my inbox :). I've got that down to 2,334 messages and will diligently work to get those organized. One step at a time.

I'm gearing up for the big switch to make BellaOnline a mobile-friendly / responsive site. It's an important step to take - it's just a massive undertaking which is why I haven't begun yet :). Back in May I did all my smaller sites like LisaShea.com and RomanceClass.com to get practice at it. Those sites have been running smoothly. So now that I have a "proof of concept" I'm ready to start chunking away at BellaOnline.

I'll do it in stages and ask for your suggestions along the way. I'll try to keep the site looking fairly similar to the current one, but there will undoubtedly be changes in the way things work. Huge amounts of our traffic now come on mobile phones and people expect pages to work properly on them - with images resizing for the page and so on.

One key change is that our editor photos should all be 200x200 squares going forward. That way they can be seen on the tiny phone screens. If you haven't loaded up a new photo of yourself, and still have the old rectangle image, please load a new larger image soon. I'll crop it into a square for you. Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Our "article" page is the most commonly visited page so I'll start there, with a test version. I'll send you guys a note when that test version is ready to look at, and we'll go from there!
