Hi everyone,

Welcome to another F1 newsletter, catching up with the news from the last few weeks, and a recap of some recent articles on the BellaOnline site.
In the news:

• Max Mosley won his court case to receive damages from the News of the World newspaper – the publication that initially released the video that brought about the vote of confidence last month. He should receive £60,000 in damages which he says will go straight to the FIA Foundation.
• Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen has said that despite a couple of races with poor performance, you shouldn’t go writing off the team just yet. The season is long, and it’s not unusual for a team to experience ups and downs, and he believes Ferrari will be right back at the top of their game very soon.
• The introduction of Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems next year may not be so probable now, after a few incidents regarding safety occurred this week. Firstly, a KERS component failed in the Red Bull factory, and caused enough smoke for the alarms to go off and the building to be evacuated. Then a BMW mechanic received an electric shock from a car with KERS installed. It’s early days, of course, but not looking good.

Exclusive to the newsletter, I'd like to ask a question to everyone out there, and see what you're thinking about the state of F1 and the events going on at the time. You can post on the forums or send an email using the contact form.

This time round: Will the Max story be over now he has successfully sued? Can he got on with his job? I think that the court case was right – Mosley’s privacy was invaded – and it’s fine that he’s been awarded damages. It’s good that he’s donating them, otherwise he’d be seen to be profiting from what is such a distasteful affair. But regardless of how the information came to light, the story is our there now, and I believe it will still affect his ability to do the job properly.
