Hello there, it’s time for the Quilters Quarters Newsletter again. I do hope this newsletter finds all my readers (and there are lots of them) well and managing their busy lives.
It’s been a horrible week globally, and my thoughts are not far from Norway and the tragic events that have befallen that wonderful peace loving people. It’s hard to fathom why such a thing happens, and even more difficult to find the words to express the deep sympathy I feel for all that they must endure, now and into the future. To all my Norwegian readers, I send my heartfelt love and comforting thoughts.
I imagine that quilters around the world will be putting their feelings into actions and stitching up a storm of quilts to send to those that have been affected by such a horror. I’ll keep an eye on the web for any charities that are organising quilts to be sent to Norway and will pass on the information to you at it comes to hand.
I have started a message board on the forum for Bellaonline Quilters to send a message to the people and quilters of Norway in support for them at this tragic time. Here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/703873#Post703873
In last week’s newsletter I made mention of the fusible wadding I use in my quilts. I was inundated with questions about the wadding, so I wrote an article that tells you all about the type I use, where you can get it, its production etc. Here’s a link to that article: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art172472.asp
