Almost every state has its own Poet Laureate. I would like to ask a favor of my readers: please write me and tell me who your state poet laureate is and tell me a little about him/her.

I am planning to write a series about the poets laureate of each state. And I would love to start with the poets and states first introduced to me by my readers here at Poetry.

You may post your Poet Laureate info on the Forum, or you may send me an email from my Bio page. Either way is fine. And if you would like to be mentioned in my article, just let me know; of course, you may remain anonymous, if you prefer.

I am beginning my Poet Laureate series with the following article:
