CLEAN THOUGHTS
We are ready to build an ARK. I live in South Texas and we have had a month of non-stop rain. It's a good thing though, but I am sympathizing with all the folks in the Northwest part of America....how do they handle all the gloomy weather? The nice thing is that the temperatures which are normally sizzling about now are on the abnormally low side of high 80's.
On the plus side, with all the rain, it's given me plenty of time to declutter around the house. But while I was in the closet cleaning out my old clothes, I kept noticing the smell of cigarette smoke. I have never smoked in my life, but my grandparents did. And a chest of drawers from my grandparents is in my closet and although this dresser has been out of their house for over twenty years, it still smells from time to time. Yes, old items around the house can absorb and give off odors. So, before you take that antique of Aunt Milly's, give it a sniff test. It might be smelling because Milly was a smoker or had 32 indoor cats. If so, think twice.
Smells in the house are always a mystery...well, sometimes they aren't. I didn't notice that I had an odor problem in my home (because I work out of it) until I went away for a long weekend and came home to a bad smell. It was coming from my media room. I crawled on on all fours convinced that my cat had sneaked in the house and used this room as her personal litter box. Come to find out this room had been flooding from a wall leak for years and I had no idea. The smell was from water and mold.
Check around your house if you suspect it smells. You never know what you might find!
Until next time...
Warmly,

FEATURED PRODUCT: Febreze Products
The products featured here are ones I use in my own home, that I can personally attest to, and that I L-O-V-E. I want you to try them, too, because I know you will also enjoy them and they will help you keep a cleaner, more comfortable home.
Febreze Noticeables. These are the only plug-in air fresheners that I use in my home because they work. The name "noticeable" is perfect too, because you do, in fact, NOTICE them, unlike many other air fresheners. Febreze products are wonderful around the home and work like you expect them too -- maybe better.
