Hello and Happy Thursday to all!

I hope you are having a great week. It is hot here in Albuquerque, with just enough clouds to make it humid too. It almost has me looking forward to Fall. I will miss all the growing plants when the weather changes, like the gorgeous sunflowers I am harvesting the seeds from this week. Yet, the smell of roasting green chile in the fall air is a wonderful thing, and something we here in New Mexico enjoy every year. Speaking of green chile, it is now in season, and fresh chiles are being offered at all the events in New Mexico, like at the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial that I went to last weekend. I had a great time there watching the dancers, smelling the chile, and seeing all the great items for sale in the vendors booths. This weekend I am off to the Santa Fe Indian Market, a great show full of some amazing artwork, that I will tell you all about in next week's article. I will also be meeting the authors I have been writing about for the last couple of weeks while I'm there, and hope to have more tales to tell when I return. I'm really looking forward to it.

I may be off on a camping adventure next week, so if you don't get a newsletter on Thursday, don't worry, I'll send it out to you as soon as I return. In the meantime, keep checking the Native American homepage for new items, and next week's article.
