Hello and Happy Thursday to all!

I hope you are having a great week. It is hot here in Albuquerque, with just enough clouds to make it humid too. It almost has me looking forward to Fall. I will miss all the growing plants when the weather changes, like the gorgeous sunflowers I am harvesting the seeds from this week. Yet, the smell of roasting green chile in the fall air is a wonderful thing, and something we here in New Mexico enjoy every year. Speaking of green chile, it is now in season, and fresh chiles are being offered at all the events in New Mexico, like at the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial that I went to last weekend. I had a great time there watching the dancers, smelling the chile, and seeing all the great items for sale in the vendors booths. Check out the article on the Native American site at BellaOnline.com:

Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial
Pow wow dancers, artwork, jewelry, rodeo, mutton, fry bread, Navajo tacos, Native dance troupes, a give away ceremony, and much more greet visitors at the 86th Annual Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial. Join me as I take you there, to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of this wonderful event.

This weekend I am off to the Santa Fe Indian Market, a great show full of some amazing artwork, that I will tell you all about in next week's article. You can visit the Native American home page on BellaOnline.com next Thursday to read all about it. I will also be meeting the authors I have been writing about for the last couple of weeks while I'm there, and hope to have more tales to tell when I return. I'm really looking forward to it.

I may be off on a camping adventure next week, so if you don't get a newsletter on Thursday, don't worry, I'll send it out to you as soon as I return. In the meantime, keep checking the Native American homepage for new items, and next week's article.

Make sure to visit our Native American forum also. It is free, and fun, and has a lot of information as well. This week I began a new topic with News from Native America, and I will keep updating it as often as possible. We still have our campfire burning there, welcoming all to the campfire. Stop on by and say hello, leave a comment, or ask a question. I'd love to see you there!

We have a very extensive Links section on the Native American home page, that you can check out anytime. You'll find topics from Geneology to Recipes to Scholarships, links to other Native sites, and pow wow information. If you have info you'd like added to our links section, such as upcoming pow wow info, send it along to me, and I'll get it plugged in for you.

Feel free to drop me a line anytime, either in the forum, or leave a comment on the Native American homepage, or you can respond to this email message. I enjoy hearing from you all, and want to thank all of you who have written to me!

Don't forget to pass this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
