August Tips
Keep dead heading your flowers so you get the maximium number of blooms.
Before you go if they are not too heavy then move your containers into a shady area where they will not dry out so fast. If you are going to dry flowers then now is a good time to pick them.
Dry them in a warm place not too hot and ideally hung upside down. If you place a brown paper bag over the flower heads you will catch any seeds that fall out - ready for planting for the next year. If you would like to make your own pot pouri August is a good time to collect your blooms. Take a look at my English Garden Pot Pouri for instructions and ideas.
