In remembrance of those who suffered during Hurricane Katrina, this week's article is to reminds us there is something we can do to help fight global warming. The new article is up and can be read here:
Global Warming
What you can do to help fight global warming.

Tip of the week:
Use the lowest-octane gas recommended for your car. High-octane gas releases a higher concentration of toxic compounds into the air than the lowest-octane gas, and only about one in ten cars produced since 1982 require a higher-octane gasoline.

Did you know:
Hurricanes, are called typhoons and cyclones in other parts of the world. The winds swirl around a central "eye". Wind direction is counterclockwise (west to east) in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise (east to west) in the Southern Hemisphere.

Quote of the week:
"Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe." -H.G. Wells

Word of the week:
Carbon Monoxide -noun- a colorless, odorless, and poisonous gas found in fumes from car engines, buring gas, and cigarette smoke; not to be confused with Carbon Dioxide -noun- a colorless, odorless, non-flammable atmospheric gas. It is used in photosynthesis and given off in aerobic respiration.

Our friends and family in the Gulf Coast region still need our help. Network for Good is a website where you can make a financial contribution to the charity of your choice or find an a opportunity to volunteer your time.
