When I read or hear an interesting factoid, I tend to scribble it on paper and deal with it at a later time. That is the case with the idea behind the Van Gogh article. I had read that he sold only one painting in his lifetime. I was fascinated by this and researched which painting it was and when it occurred.
I think the interest in Van Gogh is not about the paintings entirely but also about his tormented life. He did cut off a portion of his ear and he later committed suicide. Is this not a story of late breaking news?
