Here's the latest article from the Attention Deficit Disorder site at BellaOnline.com. This week we explore Mindfulness and ADD.
Greetings from the Land of OZ!
This week's article caused some fantastic discussions at our house. Many times you hear about mindfulness mainly as a spiritual technique. It certainly can be. My sweet husband contends that the best use of mindfulness for folks with ADD is to delve into our problems. I second that! Sometimes mindfulness can be used as an escape, instead of a tool to find practical solutions to some of the irritating symptoms of ADD. When it is used to escape, the mess is still there after you are done "practicing."
What is mindfulness in relationship to ADD? It can be one technique to calm the chaos that ADD can bring to your everyday life! Mindfulness can help you get to the heart of the turmoil to bring order to your environment. Hone your awareness to improve your symptoms of ADD.

Do you want to learn more? At the end of the article, I have included a link to a great book on mindfulness. It's very practical and an interesting read.
For folks who want a book about adult ADD. I have started my new book. The working title is Living Well with ADD. You will be the first to hear about the progress. I hope to have it completed by July.
If you know a child who is struggling in school, Building School Success with ADD can help. Use my knowledge to improve a child's life! When the child is successful, the whole family feels better. Here is a link:
