Hello, just me knocking on the screen to say hello and have a brief chat. I hope all’s well at your place. Here in Australia, our school children have returned to school this week after a 6 week break over the summer. As a student I recall those 6 weeks went very very slowly and we always thought the holidays would never end. Now that I’m 50 something, 6 weeks flies by with the blink of an eye. I’m guessing I’m not the only one to feel this, I think it is a “mature persons” dilemma.
Well, it is summer and the wet season here in Brisbane and we have had so much rain over the past two days or so. We had approximately 180ml in just one 24 hour period (which equates to approximately 7 inches). As you can imagine the roads are very awash, and it’s wise to stay indoors and off the roads at present. This I find very easy to do. I have three quilt projects on the go, and one more that have come across my radar in the past day or so. So I will force myself to stay at home and quilt. LOL
I posted a tutorial last week for a quilt I’ve made several times. I call it All Squared Up and it’s a very easy pattern, yet incredibly smart. I often make it using scraps, but for this tutorial I’ve chosen only three fabrics. Perhaps you’ll find this tutorial useful. Here’s the link:
