Quilting

January 27 2009 Quilting Newsletter

Hello again from the Quilters Quarters Newsletter. I hope this email finds you well and staying ontop of what is set to be a pretty busy and possibly stressful year ahead.

There is so much gloom and doom in the news lately, it’s hard to force yourself to listen sometimes.
They say that when times are tough, economically that is, people generally bunker down, and concentrate on their own little patch, their home, their family and block out any goings on outside those boundaries.

I’m trying very hard to remain upbeat during this global crisis, and to that end I wrote a silly article about a Quilters Resolutions for 2009, posted last Sunday. I always set myself goals, not just at the beginning of the new year but at any time I feel ready for a refreshing of my life. Have a look at the article and then pop over to the forum and let us know what your quilt resolutions for 2009 might be.

I’ve got a bonza gift for you this week. As usual, I spend an inordinate amount of time trawling the web, looking for interesting things for you and as I said this is a beauty! It’s a quiz, but with a delightful twist.
With this quiz, when you get an answer right, 10 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations Food Fund. There’s lots of choices for subjects for the quiz; I’m hooked on the art subject. It’s a whole lot of fun.
So I hope you enjoy this one.

Well, that’s all from me this week, stay happy and keep those fingers busy.
Cheerio for now, and have fun quilting
