Hello one and all from all over the world. It’s the middle of the week and another chance to pop in and say hello to you. I’ve just returned from a week holidaying in Cairns, to see my daughter and play tourist for a bit. We had a splendid time, the weather was fine but very humid, and the accommodation comfortable and handy to everything we needed.

It’s a beautiful spot where we stayed (Palm Cove), but at this time of year there is the problem of marine stingers, and it’s not advisable to swim unprotected in the waters. There are sections of the beach that have stinger protection, so it can be almost 100% safe. Luckily our unit complex had a really lovely swimming pool, so we made the most of that.

We had a chance to catch up with the new addition to the family – another chocolate Lab, this one is a puppy and called Wilbur. He’s a little ball of mischief and the older Lab, Cadbury has the patience of a saint with Wilbur. They are becoming great mates and are virtually inseparable.

It was lovely to spend time with my daughter and catch up on all the news. It was also lovely to arrive home safe and sound, and be enjoying my own bed once more!

Last week I posted another great poem by Jenny Riley (with her permission) and it’s a goodie. It’s all about dyeing fabric and the fun and games we can have. Here’s the link: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art181971.asp
All quiet on the forum front – have you got anything you’d like to ask? Or Say? It’s your forum – have a go and talk with other quilters. Here’s the link:
