Quilting

April 15 2010 Quilting Newsletter

Hello everyone, another week flies by and it’s time for me to pop in and say hello again. We had our monthly quilting guild meeting on Tuesday with at least 140 women in attendance. This day is such a wonderful day. Full of lots of chat and for me a chance to say hello to so many people. I took a new friend along, and she really enjoyed herself. I think quilters are very good at making newcomers feel welcome. We had lots of show and tell, and a wonderful array of Linus quilts that have been completed by so many generous quilters.

We also had an interesting talk from an interior decorator on colors and their meanings. It was a very light hearted look at colors and it certainly was interesting to learn the meaning behind some of your color likes and dislikes.
Last Sunday I posted two reviews of two Crazy Patchwork books I recently purchased on Amazon. These two books are by the same author, and I do believe they go hand in hand and belong together in a Crazy Patch workers’ library. Here’s the link to that article:

We’ve had some interesting responses to the question I posted on the forum concerning planning or not planning quilts. Here’s the link to that question and the responses: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43

Now, onto my gifts for you this week. I hope you enjoy them.
