Once bitten by the "sewing bug" there is no cure. So, enjoy! Summer sewing is as delightful as in any season. Sewing with breezy cottons is what makes summer sewing projects go quickly.

Crinkle cottons are nice for casual shirts and skirts.

Cotton voile is a sheer crisp fabric s often used for heirloom sewing.

Cotton shirting is easy to manage for casual summer dresses and blouses.

Cotton pique has a texture to the surface fabric and is easy to sew and easy to wear.

Cotton damask is charming for dressy summer clothing and easy to sew too.

Cotton batiste is a beautiful fabric that is in demand for romantic blouses and heirloom sewing. Smocking goes beautifully with this fabric.

Pure linen is tempting for summer clothing. but tends to wrinkle easily, and will need pressing. Try an elegant blend of linen and cotton sewing for jackets and slacks.
