I hope readers in the US had a great Thanksgiving holiday, with lots of family and friends and good times. It has always been a favorite time for me to remember family, but can be especially melancholy, too. The 27th was my wedding anniversary rather long ago, now, and that holiday weekend was when both my best friend and my mother each succumbed to cancer, in the same year my husband died! Not one of my better years, but I now use this weekend to rejoice in my current family and friends, remember the ones who are now gone, and make a some time just to be by myself to balance things out.
