As new editor of the BellaOnline Baseball site, I will update the Baseball Newsletter weekly. The newsletter will feature references to my articles, forum topics, current news, baseball-related links and more.

When the season is in full swing, I will focus primarily on MLB, with healthy discussion on college level play and the Little League World Series. When the off season rolls around, the focus will be on rules of the game, MLB roster changes, college draft, book reviews and other topics I won’t have time to discuss during the season. The newsletter will also serve as a quick update for you on stats/box scores, good news stories, roster/coaching changes, and other baseball news.

My goal is to get women truly engaged in baseball, no matter what level of current interest they have. In particular, I would love to reach the woman who has a son, husband or significant other who absolutely loves the game but she doesn’t. Baseball is not the same old man’s game. It’s such an enjoyable sport and I strive to get you to the point where watching and following the sport is second nature. To the woman who is already engaged, I look forward to lifting your fanaticism to a new level!

The newsletter will frequently reference the general topics found on the BellaOnline Baseball site’s main page. Please feel free to go to the site and check for new content. You’ll find the subheadings for the Baseball site are listed in the sidebar (left side) of the page. You’ll see new content posted there weekly. Be sure to also view the Featured Articles and Archives sections for additional information.

As a complement to the newsletter, the Baseball Forum is a great way to stay engaged. The forum allows you to voice your opinions, as well as get a pulse on the views of other baseball fans. The forum offers an opportunity to chat about games, players, gear, baseball cards or how your favorite team is doing. All non-obscene baseball related topics are open for discussion and responses in the forum. Who knows, you might just make a few BellaOnline friends in the forum!
