Dear Readers:
Alzheimer's and other dementia problems affects almost every family in the United States. It may be an uncle, aunt, grandparent, parent, brother, sister, cousin, or other relative. They come to family reunions or picnics or other celebrations and you don't know exactly what to expect or what to say to them.
This week's book, Dementia Caregivers Share Their Stories, will provide some insight to you and information for their main caregiver. I can testify that I saw some ideas that will be implemented with my own mother, who has lived with Alzheimers for 3 years now. Shre really doesn't know who any family member is, including her husband of sixty years.
Caregivers for those with dementia causing illnesses need the support of others who understand the situation. This week´s book claims to be a "support group in a book." It contains many ideas to help caregivers.
