April 27 2011 Christian Literature Newsletter

Hello,

2011 is fast flying by. Unfortunatley, it is proving to be a challanging year. Much like the character in this week's book, I have had several days and weeks where I'd like to run away. In 2011, I have learned much more about domestic violence and the legal system than I would have cared to experience. It seems my mantra for the year is Proverbs 3:5-6 which states, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will order your path." The New Century Version states, "and he will give you success." That has given me much comfort as I watch my daughter battle through a domestic violence relationship. It has been difficult to deal with and has caused sporadic posting and forum monitoring. For this, I apologize.

This week's reviews are geared toward the men in your life whether "tween-aged" boys or men.

Max Anderson has penned another excellent boys' book, Barney and the Runaway, about a boy and his faithful dog who run away and join a circus. Check out the review here..........
