Hi everyone! Happy Spring (3 days and counting)!
As promised you will find a tasty Winter/Spring
recipe for those of you who may be going a bit
"stir" crazy.

With my daughter, anyone who stays for a retreat
and now, those who subscribe wanting to put their
senses to the test or are just hungry ;).

Bread Machine Herbed Baguette

1 cup water (warmed in microwave 30-40 sec. or tea kettle)
1 egg yolk (to mix) with liquids
3 -(¼ if sticky) cup flour
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried Italian seasonings
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic salt
2 T parmesan cheese
1 tsp reg salt
1 T yeast
1 tsp sugar
2 T milk (whole or 2%)
(add a bit at a time if machine tends to bog down)

Egg white + tsp water for wash

1.) In a bread machine add ingredients per manufacturer’s
instructions. Usually, it’s liquids first.

2.) Divide in 3 equal sections and begin to role back and
forth between hands until about 12 inches in length.
Brush a bit of egg white wash on each loaf and let rise
for an hour ½ under greased plastic wrap. When doubled in size,
remove wrap and brush again with egg wash

3.) In 450 pre-heated oven place loaves on a greased cookie sheet
or pan Cook 15 – 20 min.

Let rest for at least 20 min or moisture will evaporate from loaves.
FRESH BUTTER WORKS REALLY WELL WHEN SERVING or with
spinach artichoke dip!!!
